Our Story
The story of Ola Ka Ola begins with Michal Lissauer, a businesswoman and a mother of 5, and her attempt to find a solution for her Pelvic Floor dysfunction.
As a mother and a former fitness trainer, Michal learned that childbirth has taken an immense toll on her body and strongly impacted her pelvic floor. She could no longer sneeze or exercise without peeing. While some people think that after having kids, this is normal and just something you need to live with, Michal was determined to find a solution to eliminating the issue without the need of a surgery or other 'magical' treatment that didn't make sense to her.
After searching the web, Michal realized that 1 in 3 US women suffered from the same issue and got used to living with that. She learned that Pelvic Floor dysfunction effected not only women that gave birth but also menopausal women, athletes and basically every woman, as modern life has put extra stressors on our body. She also understood that this issue did not get enough attention and that the treatments were limited. Michal decided to team up with Neta, her long-time over-40 friend who built and maintained many healthy and vibrant communities in the past. Together they looked for the best experts to build the most effective women's group program, which promotes a natural treatment for Pelvic Floor dysfunction.
Their team, comprised of industry experts, all women over 40, wanted to raise awareness about Pelvic floor disorders that are common and can be treatable. They developed a program to help women connect with their pelvic floor through natural methods to improve their quality of life and become more confident. Because a confident woman has a healthy pelvic floor.
Along the way, Michal and the team incorporated additional tailor-made group programs, unique for women over 40. This virtual programs are live and provide the tools and guidance to naturally fight Perimenopausal and Menopausal symptoms with great success.
