Our Story

The story of Ola Ka Ola begins with Michal Lissauer, a businesswoman and a mother of 5, and her attempt to find a solution for her Pelvic Floor dysfunction.

As a mother and a former fitness trainer, Michal learned that childbirth has taken an immense toll on her body and strongly impacted her pelvic floor. She could no longer sneeze or exercise without peeing. While some people think that after having kids, this is normal and just something you need to live with, Michal was determined to find a solution to eliminating the issue without the need for surgery and with a treatment she can be consistent and comfortable with.

After searching the web, Michal realized that 1 in 3 US women suffered from the same issue and got used to living with that. She learned that Pelvic Floor dysfunction affected not only women that gave birth but also menopausal women, athletes, and basically every woman, as modern life has put extra stressors on our bodies. She also understood that this issue did not get enough attention and that the treatments were limited. Michal decided to team up with Neta, her long-time over-40 friend who built and maintained many healthy and vibrant communities in the past. Together they looked for the best experts to build the most effective women's group program, which promotes a natural treatment for Pelvic Floor dysfunction.

Their team, comprised of industry experts, all women over 40, wanted to raise awareness about Pelvic floor disorders that are common and can be treatable. They developed a program to help women connect with their pelvic floor through natural methods to improve their quality of life and become more confident. Because a confident woman has a healthy pelvic floor.

Along the way, The Ola Ka Ola Team created the full stack solution for every woman over 40, where she can find everything she needs in order to stay active, motivated and well-connected to the team and the other members. Today, the Ola Ka Ola platform provides the tools and guidance for thousands of women to naturally manage the changes in their bodies with great success, and look most beautiful after 40.
