By Cheryl Coppa Did you think this was even possible? So many women are taking back control and if this is you, congratulations on solving your pelvic floor dysfunction! You took the time to learn and it has paid off! No more pads, no more pain, the core is stronger than ever, maybe your core has even taken on a new shape, and pleasurable sexual intimacy has returned! You are a Core and Pelvic Floor Restore Graduate and no longer suffer from your symptoms, you might be asking this question - now what?

"I just switched over to the ongoing program. I’m so glad I did the pelvic floor program. I no longer have urinary incontinence, no more pads. AMAZING!“. Shawn, Ola Ka Ola's Pelvic Floor program graduate

Now You Are In Maintenance Mode Just like if you get a cavity in your tooth, after your filling, you still need to brush and floss, daily. But now that you have the foundations mastered, and have a function and proper breathing restored, we just need to keep it that way. 👉🏽 The breath work is daily, it happens naturally now, we have that going, great! 👉🏽 Be aware of falling into old habits of poor posture, this can sometimes have a way of creeping back in. 👉🏽 Be aware of stress. Stress is a part of life and we hold stress in our muscles including our pelvic floor. Holding onto tension will encourage a tight pelvic floor and one thing leads to another. We will want to stay on top of this with regular releasing and strength work, even if it is just a couple of times a week. Life is life, so we will have those encounters that could trigger pain, for example, if you are going on a trip and you are on a plane or long car ride, we know this can aggravate muscles in and surrounding the pelvis. 👉🏽 Always remember your ABCs: ALIGNMENT - You know it well, if not get on the program and learn it, super easy. BREATHING- You have mastered it. It has been the biggest improvement in this process, don’t you know it? YOU NEED THIS! COORDINATION - Utilize your breathing with your daily life activities and fitness routines. Remember just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Only do what your core and pelvic floor can handle, and continue to build strength so you can do more.

58% of women who have surgery for a prolapse end up having another prolapse. Even though they got the surgery, there was no maintenance work.", Cheryl Coppa, Core Specialist

My best suggestion is to switch over to the On-Going Program. This will give you access to fresh content as there is a weekly LIVE session of Core and Pelvic Floor Maintenance (additional times being added to the schedule soon). A brand new session every week, so if you follow on-demand, you always have something new to check out. This will also give you access to any consult if you find you need extra troubleshooting along the way. Also, it gives you access to everything Ola Ka Ola has to offer -- fitness programs, meditation, and vitamins. All of these, when done with the techniques you have learned, support a healthy, strong, and functional Core and Pelvic Floor. Maintaining is just as important as the healing process you already went through. You have already established a healthy habit. Let's keep it going. This is why 58% of women who have surgery for a prolapse end up having another prolapse. Even though they got the surgery, there was no maintenance work. Shawn, a program graduate, completed the Core and Pelvic Floor Restore Program and just switched over to the ongoing program and this is what she said: “I’m so glad I did the pelvic floor program, I no longer have urinary incontinence, no more pads. AMAZING!“. If you have not started your healing process what are you waiting for? New year, a new skill, newly strengthened Core and Pelvic Floor! May your coffee & pelvic floor be strong ☺️ Happy New Year! Yours always, Cheryl
